PETRARCHA SONNETS For Love of Laura XXI and XXXVI
These poems were initially written in Italian by Francesco Petrarca allegedly for a beloved named Laura. However, it has been debated whether Laura actually was the name of the woman he wrote these odes to. What is not debated by historians is that Petrarca was the inventor of the Sonnet form and that his love was unrequited. I admittedly get a little off topic in my "analysis" at the end here, because the words rung out as a little too familiar to me.
