Summary: A newly crowned King visits his mother late one evening to talk privately, unimpeded by bureaucracy or politics. He has much to discuss with her, including the assassination of his late father and the burdens he carries now as King. But this mother knows her son too well, and she soon draws from him the true fears he harbours in his heart. Many secrets are revealed as they sit by the fireplace, and their relationship of mother and son soon blossoms into something more than either had ever dared dream.
