You remember that your session with your hypnotherapist was a good one. You don’t remember what happened. You don’t remember anything about the experience. But you remember that it went very well, because that’s what your hypnotherapist told you. And you know that’s all you need to remember about it. This file begins with the listener being welcomed to another hypnotherapy session by their hypnotherapist, which proceeds to an induction which utilizes a combination of relaxation, praise, and a building anticipation of going deeper. From there, the listener is told that they’ll be working on their memory today, and are given examples of different ways that they can be aided in remembering things, using the example of having someone fill in the details of a memory, and sense memories prompted by certain cues. The listener is also told about how one can be reminded of facts they remember are true, without remembering how they learned those facts. From there, the listener is taught how to “remember without remembering”, meaning how to remember that something they’re told is true without bothering to remember the details of what actually happened, or how to remember a fact is true without remembering any other information about it. This process is built upon a deep trust in the person who tells them the thing in question, and this response can be induced with the words “isn’t that right?” safeties are discussed, the listener is repeatedly gaslit by their hypnotherapist, and they’re brought of of trance while being told that it’s normal to feel flushed and aroused after a session with their hypnotherapist. Effects: When the listener is told something ending in the phrase “isn’t that right?” by someone they want to take advantage of them, they can “remember” that what they’re told is true while remembering nothing else about what actually happened (if an event is described) or anything else about the fact (if a fact is described) Safeties: The listener’s talent and skill as a subject, and ability to be hypnotized are highlighted, and the subject’s ability to give in to suggestions how, when and to the extent that feels best to them are highlighted as well. The listener is reminded that it’s very easy to let the trust that keeps them from remembering fade whenever it’s helpful or important for them to check what they have been told.
