wow, crazy to think that i wrote this song back in 2024 and i'm still working on it! mad respect for professional musicians, as a dabbler i can't imagine rushing this kind of work in any sort of reasonable timeframe... see the previous version of this song for the backstory, it has a special meaning ( https://soundgasm.net/u/katchwreck/lets-do-it-dec2024 )... this version is strictly instrumental for now, but i may add the vocals later... for now it's just bongos & bass, but this is the 1st time that i tried plugging in my live bass effects rig into the David Eden tube preamp that I use in my home studio to record bass with... you might be able to notice a subtle tremolo effect on the bass, this is coming from the "moon pool" pedal from Pigtronix... other than that, it's pretty much a direct mixdown to stereo using Audacity, with no digital effects aside from a little bit of noise reduction applied to each track. only two tracks recorded (bongos and bass, in that order), no punch ins, time warping, chopping, metronomes, click tracks, looping, quantization, etc.
