Here's my 2nd attempt at a reggae remix of "Red Clay" by Freddie Hubbard... I realized that if I play it in E-flat, I can walk down to an open low B on my 5-string Sadowsky electric bass guitar (tuned BEADG)... i also decided that playing the melody on my other 5-string bass guitar (tuned EADGC) didn't sound good enough, so i tried playing my Ibanez electric guitar on this one (tuned ADGCF, with no low E string, so that it feels similar to a 5-string bass)... this time, I only put the on-board phaser effect on the synth piano on the outro, but i added a delay effect using Audacity after recording... Otherwise, I used my usual process: 1) a "live click" track was played, using a bongo drum, 2) the bassline was recorded, 3) synth piano came next, 4) finally, the electric guitar... hig-pass filter, phaser, and delay effects were added to the guitar using Audacity, and low-pass filter, compression, and noise reduction was applied to the bass... no quantization, looping, time-warping, stretching, metronomes, etc. were used... stereo mixdown to FLAC was done using Audacity
